Softbank is a public company and as such, the CEO will say whatever is necessary to ensure the stock price increases. Until Softbank actually replaces all of its engineers with AI agents, these words are complete bullshit and only used as fuel to increase company value... from nothing. I'm sure you can spin up a zillion AI agents but without oversight your code base, product, and company are going to go into the toilet. Maybe you can eventually relegate engineers to reviewing code and approving releases rather than also writing the code. But that's not today, next year, or even this decade.
