It was noticed early on that context size increasing didn’t necessarily result in greater accuracy.
The fallacy that I think folks are coming to terms with is that the explosion in advancements of LLMs that we saw over the past few years will not continue at this rate, we’re already seeing outlines of the ceiling on this thing.
