And that’s normal, because most people haven’t studied either topic deeply enough to really grasp them. Your understanding of both is probably around 1% of what’s actually out there, maybe even less. Yet you speak with confidence and make judgments. I don’t fully understand them either , but interestingly, the people who are most educated in these fields often point out that both human language learning and AI language generation operate on surprisingly similar principles. That idea of “just generating the next likely pattern” applies to the human brain too — there's way more depth to it than you might think. So yeah, maybe just go through life with a little less confidence in what you think you know.
