There are two groups of people who talk about ChatGPT as if it is a person: * Actual crazy people who think they are the chosen ones to serve as liaisons between humanity and sentient AIs. * People who know very well how LLMs work but personify it for humor, fun, or shorthand. Much like I might say "my Roomba really hates the edge of my couch" when I know perfectly well my Roomba has absolutely no opinions. We're both here and there's honestly no point in arguing with either group because the first group is, as mentioned, batshit insane, and the second group doesn't really care because they aren't serious.
