"That's not X, it's Y" has been a standard usage since long before ChatGPT. It's just that, for the most part, ChatGPT "speaks" in grammatically correct English, and to a lot of people grammatically correct English sounds strange. This is a world of texters now, after all. Anyone who is a decent writer now stands the chance of being accused of using AI because it "sounds too good." But it's not that good writers are cribbing from AI, it's that AI is cribbing from good writers. It generates its responses based upon material that is already available, and most of that material is professionally written.
