The difference is that during the industrial revolution, the dress maker who was replaced by a sewing machine just needed to learn how to use a sewing machine. It's an adjacent job that was opened up.
Any new job created today will be replaceable by AI too. It's the wrong parallel to make.
In reality, we've never faced this before. It's completely uncharted waters and this argument is giving a false sense of security.
