Scary for sure and trust me I’m a huge pessimist about it as well. But I recently saw a man who was slowly dying to ALS. Showed a video of him in 2024 speaking and moving mostly fine. 2025 and his movements are stiff, speech is slurred and slow. But this technology lets him still communicate and have some feeling of normalcy when doing so. It’s barely a silver lining but hey at least it’s doing at least one good thing. Edit: people with zero fucking reading comprehension think I’m dick riding AI because I pointed out a single instance where it helped someone.
