Raw LLM Responses

People will call any form of AI 'Smoke and Mirrors' because we know how it works. Hey... this thing is just pattern matching! I can tell, because I have intelligence and can see it matches the pattern of other things matching patterns! We don't know anything about the "soul" because it's not a real thing. We don't know anything about human consciousness because nobody can even define what they're talking about when they say it, not because it's some great mystery. As to human thought, why do you assume that the only route to intelligence is the same way we do it? For the record, I don't think LLMs or other AIs are intelligence either, but saying it can't evolve into it is short-sighted. It's like saying a light bulb could never evolve into a TV. Or that a switch could never evolve into a computer. Not on its own, and not in the way it works now, but the principles we learn from it may lead there.
