True, always been the case. The lower price point for consumers is really subsidized by businesses paying a pretty premium to make money. The average consumer isn't planning on using AI to make money or create savings. This business model is no different than airlines charging multiple times the premium for a business class seat over economy seats. Because companies traditionally can afford it over an individual. It doesn't mean business class seats aren't purchased by individuals, but since airline deregulation, the approach was always to have profits made in business class because of the premium.
