People in OTHER fields will see millions of roles disappear forever. 3. The fate of the USA specifically. The current tariff policy is going to crash the entire economy and potentially lead to the unemployment of 20-50 percent of the United States. Nobody will be doing much software in the Trump Great Depression. But it could flip on a dime given the legal avenues to disenpower Trump or Congress's theoretical ability to fire him or maybe China makes a deal.
