the AI narrative is supposed to make you feel like fighting back is hopeless so you might as well give up whereas the truth is that there are small number of people doing things of varying levels of legality (e.g. coordinated layoffs) who desperately need you to look the other way. just like in 2014 when they got caught with their pants down and had to pay $300 million.
