A note on russias mobilisation. They are producing more tanks but these aren't 'modern'. Thats a major difference, Russia can't even get its new equipment over the finish line, whilst Europe is merely having trouble expanding production of modern tech whilst outside of a war economy. This was always the problem with the weird critique of the UKs navy. Yes, it's smaller, but we are constantly making ships. The next generation is already in production. The generation after is already being designed. If we enter a war economy, those ships slide off the production line faster and they're both modern and able to be repackaged if conditions change. That's is an incredibly big advantage, compared to a country that can only produce from old designs. This is the point of the wests military programme, small batch, constant production so that you won't be caught out with a large fleet of floating garbage that struggles to modernise. This extends to other branches of military procurement too.
