You clearly have no idea how ai actually works…. People already twist and manipulate statistics to say whatever they want it to say. Chatgpt and our current implementation of AI doesnt actually ‘understand’ anything, it just spews out complicated patterns. Ultimately no, your understanding is limiting your ability to imagine the scale that they hope ai to operate at. Man machine hybrid??? They want the singularity. Ai will surpass man and provide infinite free labor (to enrich the billionaires). Manipulate statistics? They want to control and redefine reality with automation and ai. Theyre aiming for far more than changing our search results. Again, you clearly dont understand what ai is currently doing nor what it is theoretically capable of so please dont stress about it. The gap of what is and what people hope will be is huge. Realistically, its not these strange conspiracies you need to worry about, but the mundane petty greed of ceos as they try to make humans redundant will be what causes the most harm to the average person.
