1 Station is in Chapter 11. They ran out of money for real announcer. This was bankruptcy trustee trying something out of the box to keep the lights on, maybe even a PR stunt.
2 People were not furious, merely curious.
3 A week from the announcement all the "AI" plans got scrapped.
