No one does that. They really should just anonymize the names upon receipt and then judge it blind. If it still shows bias then the resumes are being written terribly and you hire the people who don’t write shitty resumes. I’d rather hire someone who can write a resume versus someone who fails at step 1 of the job application process. I don’t care if every hire ends up being a tech bro white guy. It’s about results. This is coming from a brown Latino. It’s about dollars and cents. At this point, people should just feed their resumes to AI and ask it to remove anything that would look like a bias against them.
