Not to mention AI is slowing the real growth/knowledge through trial and error. While this is great for senior and above engineers and really shortens time to develop, it really hurts juniors for both reasons, faster for seniors and limits knowledge gain for juniors.
Then you really do have the economy. There is abundance of higher level engineers in the market right now, juniors don’t stand a chance. Best case is to find an engineer who will mentor you and hopefully help you gain skills, network, etc.
