On one hand, everything public or private entities create can be consumed by a large corporations AI to sell a better product for the other hand: anyone (even those public or private entities) are able to recreate anything those public or private entities created for their own amusement and whatever permutations arise while paying the large corporations a service fee. If the corporation claims ownership of the results of the AI (to prevent customers from profiting off of their creations using the tool), then it will be a detriment to society. As then, no one is able to actually create “their own works”, as everything is owned by the corporation. If the corporation claims ownership over its algorithm, but its outputs belong to the user, then it would be a benefit. As then, even though an artists work was cannibalized, they can now use the tool to expedite future creations to sell to those still desiring human direction (or whom lack creativity), or simply don’t wish to use AI.
