You're actually on the right track. I haven't even used AI to tailor my resume yet and it's very new to me. The new pay you're going to get isn't going to be great because the market has been laying off tons of people since last year and it looks like another comment stated that there will be more in 2024. I would keep whatever hires you quickly, wait another year until everything calms down, and change again if you want or ask your company for reconsideration of the "pay raise" which hopefully can be the same as the old one. I only say this because there are many people laid off right now and you have high competition at the moment. I know some people are getting hired, but still high competition.
