I know that in the US one person doesn't have the authority to launch a nuke. It has to be launched with two buttons that are rooms apart. I assume it's the case in most countries with nukes. AI does complicate this fail safe. An AI could activate both buttons. AI is already used in drones and weapons. Most drones have an AI co-pilot, and many rockets/ missiles are AI augmented, they hone in on a target. I don't think there's an issue with AI piloted drones, as long as there's a fail safe.
