It’s an article about China, and you are immediately in here criticizing someone’s input while contributing zero to the conversation at all.
Actually their comment is quite relative and valid. Nothing about what they said downplayed what is happening in China. I think they are projecting that this is so prevalent in China because of state-backed conglomerates and universities, using the US as a contrast example due to the tech sector being commercial and having this happen to a lesser degree.
