I still feel like AI is not capable of actual original creative thought. I feel like it just takes what's around it and converts the ask into something based on what it has absorbed.
I could one day see a studio put out a movie that was written and produced by an AI. Meaning even all the visuals we see are just generated through AI without a single scene being filmed or any actors being hired. Maybe it'll do well as a novelty, but if we were to go that way with all movies, it'll get old fast.
Forget even the issue of whether or not the AI will be able to come out with something amazing and great every time, but also what happens when you don't have celebrities to push and other factors that help sell a film. I'm sure also we will eventually see an unemployed actor or writer filing a lawsuit claiming that the AI basically borrowed their face or their look or their style to create the imaginary character. Kind of like what Sarah Silverman is currently suing about.
I still think AI can become a wonderful tool to enhance work, and I agree with others that everyone needs to get to the point of starting to learn how to use these tools to be the ones that can effectively use them. However, I feel like many business people are unable to effectively state what they are looking for and what they want, and thus if humans get confused and can't turn out the right result, an AI is going to have a harder time.
I think this fight is much like many fights everywhere. The investor and management and owner class feel that workers should be paid as little as possible and be required to give as much as possible, and somehow see no issue with the wide disparity of wealth or the issues of workers not even being able to pay their bills. This is the point that many at the top are looking for more ways to get rid of human labor. To be able to make money without having to pay any salaries or benefits whatsoever.
Of course, none of them ever think about the long term ramifications on
