If it works, and productivity is not impaired due to AI picking up the extra work, then I can't blame them. Since this won't happen, and productivity will inevitably go down after layoffs, and won't pick up after integration of copilot, they will have a decision to make. They either replenish the engineering teams, or they start pushing the devs to increase productivity, in the latter case you should just push whatever the AI wrote and let them deal with the issues that will come. AI will, at some point, be a major increase to productivity. At this point in time, it can, more or less, help you write regex queries, and solve some leetcode problems.
