Sounds like your company is riding the hype train. Sure AI will help, but unless it knows exactly what you need all it will do is take a guess. I don’t see it taking over a SWE’s position any time soon, but I do recommend you leave when you have the chance. They’re setting your team up for failure, will want answers when they look at metrics, but will reject the possibility that their plan is the root cause.
