I love his writing, but I disagree with his logic. He is right that current AI is not true intelligence mostly because the way it is used is static, the model doesn't change with each interaction nor does it remember past the context window. I disagree on his claim that teaching as child is inherently different from adjusting weights, because it's not really based on anything. Learning something is actually adjusting a network of neurons. So the core discussion seems to be "is a neural network an accurate model of a human brain?" to which I don't really have the answer, but based on current results it seems like the answer may be "maybe", and not "no because... ehm... reasons".
