I introduced ChatGPT to my coworkers when it first came out. I was really excited and they were too. The novelty wore off for me and I saw how it could be used as a crutch. But one of my coworkers uses it heavily now. A lot of the times it helps him but whenever ChatGPT cant help him he is completely stuck. He relies on it too much and doesnt read documentation or think things through enough. I think it is definitely hurting critical thinking.
It can be an awesome tool, but dont rely on it too much. Use your other skills and tools as well. Not just ChatGPT.
