What makes someone an engineer is the concepts. For example, if you know what async/await is conceptually, who the fuck cares how language x implements it, you'll be reading the manual for a bit and implementing the concepts. But if you never understood this concept, you'll always be copying and pasting async methods from here and there and put together something that seems to work but the overall picture is blurry for you and you never get anywhere in your career. Go become an engineer, build a mental model of everything and it gets fun to just probe that model for everything you do for work or for fun, especially now with things like GPT-4. I can imagine that the fruits of this uber intelligent machine will be most enjoyed by people who are familiar with concepts, not just in computers but also in art and so on.
