Hey! I work in HR mostly with HR tech (admin, not dev)
It's super easy to have an HR system fucked up and out of order! Things like this were sent our constantly (albeit way less threatening) by my team whenever we had a manager who sucked at paperwork and would fail to submit the proper forms.
So we'd do reviews every 90 days to sync the HR software roster of active employees with those who haven't worked in the scheduling software for 90 days or more. Letters like this would go out because on rare occasion it'd be an error or mistake and gave the employee a chance to say "hey, no I'm still employed, please dont change my profile".
Email HR at their official email and say "hello, I resigned in 2021 with notice, please update my profile accordingly. My manager was [name], and attached are my separation notices" and they'll update accordingly. Likely wouldn't be an issue but could help you avoid hardship in the future if you ever need to do verifications of employment.
