Google already HAS a better one, they just can't release it as the technology itself is a threat to google. It doesn't matter that this one is worse than theirs, it matters that they are in the business of showing you pages with ads and not giving you answers immediately.
An AI search engine would only offer you 1 single page you can fill with ads, which is a noticeable drop compared to the 5-10 google can show you.
