Betamax was the better tape format: smaller, higher quality video, and binds less in machines. But Sony owned Betamax, and they refused to sell to porn companies for tapes. VHS had no such qualms, and took the market. Sony learned their lesson with Blue-Ray, and beat out HD.
Right now ChatGPT has a bit of a monopoly, so they can limit their responses due to ethical guidelines. As soon as a decent competitor shows up that is more lax on those responses. the market will shift.
