This has been a "problem" forever with each new technology but new jobs are always created. It's scary and can lead to big changes but new jobs are always created. Edit: many are responding to this comment. It's easy to be pessimistic about everything. It's the cool thing to do. I get it. It's tough to be optimistic and often gets crapped on. AI is a tool. It will be used to increase productivity just as many things in the past have done. Capitalism and life will march on. The economy will continue to grow. New fields and new jobs will be created. Brand new businesses and ideas and thoughts about how things should work will happen. Yes, there will be changes. Yes it will be difficult for some as it always is, but will it be a net positive? I chose to believe so. These same discussions happen literally every single time there is a new technology or industry disruption.
