But they can't, as somebody that works closely in the environments you mention, I see that no matter how amazing the AI art looks to an average person, it's absolutely nothing compared to the things that people I've worked with come up. AI can only generate and regenerate as much as we provide. Our brains are constantly doing the same but with external sources like our environments and experiences. We will always be a level above, maybe not in the way we can understand now, but it's always been this pattern. What does it mean for AI to carve better wood? It would mean something different to every person just like any creation put into the world. We will always find new things to do and often the process is more fulfilling than the result. AI will change the world and make things more convenient and only open more doors, it's scary because most of us worry about change. Change requires us to put in new effort into things we may fail at, unfortunately for a lot of people it will be difficult, with every Era there's always people who refuse to adapt and are left behind. It doesn't mean it's going to be a bad future.
