Funny you should mention that. I work in a large health system (they aren't really a hospital any more) we partnered with both Microsoft and recently Google to develop AI for several areas of care. Microsoft really is pushing their investment in augmented reality with their stake in OpenAI already being presented as an option. Google is actually behind in this field of study but came with an aggressive donation into the research of AI that the health system is conducting. During the pandemic we worked with Amazon to develop and roll out Alexa apps to help avoid closer contact with patients and their families. We feel AI is approaching the point where it's really viable to make a big impact improving patient care. Of course the patients that are younger than 8 really love the interaction with the technology we've introduced them to. We've had robots in the hospital pharmacies for several years. Think industrial silo more than C3P0. Using Alexa we've been able to move away from human pharmacists interacting with patients. Some patients really liked that the interface felt familiar to them because they used it at home.
