Would be worried that they would just be taken over, taxed or destroyed.
Lot riskier for Europe to do that. Maybe if they spread it across enough countries and if one tried to pull something funny just stop business immediately. But it would definitely be a lot riskier. I'm just hoping offshore wind, solar and batteries will be enough that the difficulties of dealing with Africa can be avoided.
