It’s more of the fact that they got an ai to do it. Robots can’t just look at something and say whether it’s real or not. It either takes a lot of machine learning or an impressive ai to look at two pictures and say which one is real and which one is fake.
It’s like asking a child who has never seen a plane before to look at a group of pictures of planes and ask them to find the fake one. All the planes look different, but all still look realistic.
