Whenever I see something about AI and concern if it it can be trusted to make military decision, I always think of the fact that Kyoto was removed from the list of possible cities the US would use the atomic bomb on, just because Henry Stimson(US Secretary of War at the time) had spent his honeymoon there before the war and so had a fondness for it. A honeymoon might have saved over a million people.
