The notice in the link at [https://www.regulations.gov/document/DHS-2021-0015-0001](https://www.regulations.gov/document/DHS-2021-0015-0001) (and the other one that ends in 05) describe Homeland Security's request for the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval for DHS to collect information, in this case "information from the public" regarding use of AI, etc. FYI, there is a statute called the Paperwork Reduction Act that requires a federal agency to get OMB approval before the agency can collect information from the public. The collection can happen in different ways but the most common is to publish the request in the Federal Register and require comments to be submitted by a certain date. So, assuming OMB approves this request, expect DHS to publish something before too long asking for comments regarding use of AI, etc.
