We could have everybody living like OP with (ironically) a bit of work and a lot of winning hearts and minds. Full automation is going to be a reality someday, if we're not totally fucked by climate change, and I think the huge growth of this sub shows that the hearts and minds bit is possible (although I'm under no illusion that it will be easy). So I'm hopeful!
