OK, but the reason congress needs to regulate how facial recognition is used and it's good for lawmakers to be cognizant of its shortcomings and the very real impacts of blindly trusting it. I think, for example, based on what we know about machine learning and how it's applied here that facial recognition matches shouldn't be admissible as evidence in court... People are being exposed to constant bullshit on crime dramas about the computer flying through a bunch of photos of people and getting a 100% match, that isn't remotely how it works.
