It’s almost suspect how little they controlled for. To have a study concerning one aspect of birth and not controlling for almost any of the others?! I’m not a doctor but the studies I’ve read concerning birth tend to adjust for stuff like length of labor, method and complications at least. This seems lazy at best: > After adjusting for potential confounders, including birth year, medical center, maternal age at delivery, parity, race/ethnicity, educational level, household income, history of comorbidity, diabetes during pregnancy, smoking during pregnancy, preeclampsia or eclampsia, prepregnancy body mass index, gestational weight gain, gestational age at delivery, and birth weight
