IMHO, the alternative is for wealthy nations to realize that helping out developing nation is in their best interests. It would be a lot easier to sell to the general population than trying to hijack them morally. While private companies should pitch in, they need to be assured that this is not an infringement on their legitimate IP. They need to be enticed in rather than invalidate protection on their patents. And to be honest, I think the most efficient way to do this is to stop playing the anti-China, anti-Russia cards and acknowledge their vaccines, while not perfect, might work. Work with them to bring their data to scientific standards if necessary.
