I agree it's not black and white. Yes large pharma does some shady shit but they are producing incredible breakthroughs that aren't cheap. So the question is if profit isn't a driving motive will the pace of the innovation continue? If we hammer down on the ability of those big pharma companies making large profits then if I'm an genius med/chem student do I shy away from pharma research because I can make more money doing something else? I'm not sure what the answer is I just know it's not a simple answer.
