I'm not going to say that it's good or bad, but the reason drug companies are so hesitant to share the capabilities behind this particular vaccine is because it's the very first of its kind; not just in that covid is a new virus so the vaccine is also new, but because the technology behind it has never been used before. All previous vaccines use attenuated virus, or specially engineered virus, to allow your body to recognize a weakened version and then be able to attack the real thing more effectively. This new vaccine doesn't have any virus at all, just the genetic instructions for a specific protein so that your own body can produce it and learn how to attack it so that when the real virus is introduced it can easily detect and destroy it. Since this technology has never been used before, and has enormous repercussions for all future drug research, giving away the technology would have an impact on all future drugs, not just this specific one. Again, I'm not going to argue ethics, but it's not hard to see why the companies would be very hesitant to give this info out.
