The biggest issue with facial recognition is that it’s not accurate enough to be used anyway. Another article I read said it had like a 60-80% match rate especially when dealing with darker skin tones due to how images are captured on video. That makes it something that shouldn’t be used in itself due to being inaccurate. My question is why are people so against have a name to a face when you are logged as a person with your Govt. and willingly give info away to every website and service out there? If the technology was perfected this would actually reduce unnecessary contact with people actually preserving people rights more than removing them for having to stop everyone wearing a purple Barney T-shirt and blue jeans.
