This is really great, it is, but why the fuck do we still rely on mammograms at all? They’re brutal, barbaric, and carcinogenic in themselves (let’s irradiate vulnerable tissue annually and eventually we’ll create a cancer). Unfortunately right now they’re the best we’ve got — but why? Why hasn’t all this “breast cancer awareness” funding gone to developing a better, less painful, less radiation-reliant test?
