Can we maybe stop pretending that "the media" is one homogeneous conglomerate? It's intellectually dishonest and pretty dumb to boot. Even comparing network to network, you can find vast differences in the quality of reporting, factual accuracy, etc. Look at fact-checking numbers between, for example, Fox and CNN. One has a right-wing bias, one has a left-wing bias, but one is actually news and the other isn't - based on how many lies they tell compared to how much truth they impart. Pretending that they're two sides of the same coin is ridiculous and nonsensical.
