I agree, for someone famous to lend their name to a good cause isn't necessarily bad. But using a cause to promote a famous person's image, like calling it a "nonprofit environmental powerhouse charged with tackling climate change and the loss of biodiversity" before the organization has accomplished anything at all, seems pretty crass and perhaps even a bit cynical. I do have to admire the PR flack who got this announcement so much play. Very effective press release if the goal is embellishing DiCaprio's image based on his participation in a project that hasn't done anything yet.
