As u/JPSYCHC said, we are not near the end at all. We are in a bad place, yes, but all these headlines are extremely sensationalised just like everything else. Media is absolute cancer. ​ Biodiversity collapse is an extremely huge issue but governments and organisations around the world have been aware of this and have been working to correct this. Big Agriculture (especially in America) needs a complete reinvention. Thankfully there are actually working models and factories using vertical farming methods which may be the spark needed for revolution. Many countries have also started banning certain pesticides and herbicides and are very strict on requiring certain standards (see France). ​ Also, Reddit users constantly shit on "men in power", but I have NEVER believed that they would ruin the whole world just for profit. They are extremely aware that profit won't mean anything if the world were to collapse. Granted, some individuals just don't care because they will die before "collapse" happens, and they are correct about that. But the vast majority of people alive today will be dead by the time any sort of "collapse" is to happen. ​ TLDR: stop crying and take action.
