Okay, so if anything is a facial recognition conspiracy it's the "#tbt" trend, or "throwback Thursday" I think. That's when you post photos of your pre-facebook days. That seems much more likely to be a tool for collection. Why on Earth would Facebook need you to post a photo with ten years of time between them when it's literally been gathering every photo of you chronologically, with EXIF data, for the past decade?
