Haha good one. It doesn’t matter if the technology is there in 20 years, because cars with primary human driving will continue until the latest models become obsolete. So the 2035 “stupid” cars will still have another 15 years of life in them.
And all automatic cars will probably have manual modes anyway. That will almost certainly be a legal requirement.
