That may be. Some fields, no matter what some 'affirmative action' program may wans you to do, there's just not as many who want in.
A few years ago it was women staying in programming (and that's on us men for not refusing hellish scheduling and unviable workloads like all humans should), and men risking getting within 500ft of degrees related to 'early education'.
